Tea Bagger Immigration Panel

Recently Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the megalomaniac sheriff of Maricopa County, AZ. and Dog The Bounty Hunter appeared in Colorado at a rally in support of Tom Tancredo, the anti Mexican, anti immigrant former congressman. Tancredo is running for Governor in an independent campaign.
These are indeed strange times!

Christine O'Donnell; "I Once Dabbled In Witchcraft."

Christine O'Donnell, GOP pick to fill Vice President Joe Biden's former Senate seat for Delaware, has said a lot of crazy things. Perhaps the craziest thing was "I once dabbled in witchcraft."
She also said masturbation was the equivalent of adultery.
Perhaps she enjoyed riding her broomstick too much.

Newt Gingrich and Gary Bauer; at the recent far right so-called "values summit."

Newt Gingrich and Gary Bauer were among the speakers at the recent far right so-called "values summit."
Such values! Newt said Pres. Obama's world view was one of "Kenyan anti-colonialism," what ever that means! I thought these current tea baggers were sort of anti-colonialism too. I guess Newt could be called a "theocratic capitalist lackey."
He also called the President a "secular socialist." Hmmm, that's another one that makes you go "A what?" Of course Newt, reverting to old Cold War inspiration, is trying to imply that Obama is a Godless communist in a 2010 sort of way.
And Gary Bauer, a one time exceeding long shot Presidential candidate, ranted that a vote for Democrats was the equal of "voting for the 9/11 terrorists."
This is the state of discourse coming from from some factions of our political landscape in the fall of 2010. One would expect better.

"Curiouser and Curiouser" Arizona Governor Jan Brewer
Click on pic for larger image
Last night, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer appeared in a televised debate with opponent
Terry Goddard, the Democrat state Attorney General.
She was so bad, so incredibly awful, it was hard to believe. She must have gotten into the Arizona Department of Public Safety drug evidence room. Watch her opening statement here:

Things went from bad to worse after the debate. See that here:

Incredibly she still holds a significant lead in the race for Governor. If Arizona voters elect her, she was not elected to this post but she replaced Janet Napolitano who joined the Obama administration.
