Newt Gingrich and Gary Bauer were among the speakers at the recent far right so-called "values summit."
Such values! Newt said Pres. Obama's world view was one of "Kenyan anti-colonialism," what ever that means! I thought these current tea baggers were sort of anti-colonialism too. I guess Newt could be called a "theocratic capitalist lackey."
He also called the President a "secular socialist." Hmmm, that's another one that makes you go "A what?" Of course Newt, reverting to old Cold War inspiration, is trying to imply that Obama is a Godless communist in a 2010 sort of way.
And Gary Bauer, a one time exceeding long shot Presidential candidate, ranted that a vote for Democrats was the equal of "voting for the 9/11 terrorists."
This is the state of discourse coming from from some factions of our political landscape in the fall of 2010. One would expect better.
