Michael Dukakis In A Tank; Sarah Palin On A Bike!

In the 1988 Presidential campaign a picture was widely distributed in the press of Democratic nominee Michael Dukakis in a tank. This picture was was soon the butt of jokes and derision in Republican circles. Some said this was a big factor in his major league drubbing in the election.

The picture of a giddy Sarah Palin riding on the back of a motorcycle seems at least as ridiculous as the Dukakis photo.
