Presidential elections need to be shorter and a few other changes are in order

In a Presidential election year the primaries should begin in March. The first primary would be held simultaneously in the Eastern tier of states, then another for the Mid-west and the final one for the Western states. American holdings such as Guam or Puerto Rico would join in the appropriate tally. This could take place through July and the party conventions would be in August. The actual election period would begin right after Labor Day, which was once considered the start of the electoral season. There should be no PACs. There should be campaign limits on donations and expenditures. The Electoral College should be eliminated. And we need to work on re-districting of electoral districts and Congressional seats! Whew!
