Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot and wounded a companion during a weekend
quail hunting trip in South Texas, not far from my hometown of Corpus Christi. Wealthy Austin attorney Harry Whittington, was "alert and doing fine," in a Corpus Christi hospital Sunday.
